It's all of us TOGETHER doing the magick. God is Sovereign! Every part of God is completely in control! Therein is the Power- not just 1 person- all of the Divine Sparks (together) as God! Suffice it to say, there are two types of Magick portrayed in Scripture. The forbidden...
"Let no one be found among you who sacrifices their son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord..." (Deu 18:10-12, NIV)
"Thus saith the Lord, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the Lord that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself; That frustrateth the tokens of the liars, and maketh diviners mad; that turneth wise men backward, and maketh their knowledge foolish..." (Isaiah 44:24, 25 KJV)
"Therefore HEARKEN NOT ye to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreamers, nor to your enchanters, nor to your sorcerers, which speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon: FOR THEY PROPHESY A LIE..." (Jeremiah 27:9, 10 KJV)
Divination by rods... "My people ask counsel at their stocks, and their staff declareth unto them: for the spirit of whoredoms hath caused them to err..." (Hosea 4:12)
By cups... "Is not this it in which my lord drinketh, and whereby indeed he divineth? ye have done evil in so doing." (Gen 44:5)
By liver... "For the king of Babylon... to use divination: he made his arrows bright, he consulted with images, he looked in the liver." (Ezek 21:21) "And it shall be unto them as a false divination in their sight, to them that have sworn oaths: but he will call to remembrance the iniquity..." (Ezekiel 21:23 KJV)
Here is the problem with the forbidden divinations:
"Have ye not seen a vain vision, and have ye not spoken a lying divination, whereas ye say, The Lord saith it; albeit I have not spoken?" (Ezekiel 13:7 KJV)
In lieu of trusting in the spells, in themselves, in man, we find ourselves in the Sovereignty of God.
"Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them..." (Acts 19:19)
The acceptable forms of Magick
First, recall the Tower of Babel: "...Behold, the people is one... and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do." (Gen 11:6)
Herein is the Magick of All Things
"...HE THAT IS JOINED UNTO THE LORD IS ONE SPIRIT." (1 Cor 6:17) "And the glory of the LORD will be revealed, and ALL MANKIND TOGETHER WILL SEE IT" (Isaiah 40:5, NIV)
It is the workings of the Great City Within
"And he carried me away IN THE SPIRIT to A GREAT AND HIGH MOUNTAIN, and shewed me THAT GREAT CITY, THE HOLY JERUSALEM..." (Rev 21:10)
Dreams and Visions
"And God said unto him in a dream..." (Gen 20:6) "...behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph..." (Mat 1:20) "And being warned of God in a dream..." (Mat 2:12) "...And Joseph said unto Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is one: God hath showed Pharaoh what he is about to do." God's Astral Travel
"Afterwards the spirit took me up, and brought me in a vision by the Spirit of God into Chaldea..." (Ezekiel 11:24 KJV) "And I saw in a vision; and it came to pass, when I saw, that I was at Shushan in the palace, which is in the province of Elam; and I saw in a vision, and I was by the river of Ulai." I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven. Glorying [as though it is our magick]
"For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool… And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh..." (2 Corinthians 12:6, 7 KJV)
By Lot
Canaan was divided by lot (Numbers 26:55,56); Achan's guilt was made known (Joshua 7:16-19), Saul was chosen king (1 Samuel 10:20,21), and Matthias selected to the apostleship (Acts 1:26). The scape-goat was determined (Leviticus 16:8-10) by lot.
"THE LOT IS CAST INTO THE LAP, BUT ITS EVERY DECISION IS FROM THE LORD."

"THOU SHALT NOT SUFFER A WITCH TO LIVE." - Exodus 22:18 (KJV)
"...Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live." is an incorrect translation from the Hebrew... the correct translation, you will find, reads "Thou shalt not suffer a sorceress to live." In context, the Hebrew word refers not so much to a sorceress as it does to a poisoner, and is so translated in other parts of the Bible. In other words, this was not an injunction against Witchcraft, but against murder." (Donald Kraig, Modern Magick, Lesson Seven, p. 298)
Regardless, it is murder [which is rebellion]. And so we die...
The dead... the spiritually dead

Who is the dead?

Magick performed by Christians... And, really, all of us [at one time or another]

And so we live outside the City of God...

God's Alchemy: In the fiery lake of burning sulfur (God's purification process)...

Again, this is a lifestyle. These are rebellious people

Working false magick
"Then the Lord said to me, 'The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I have not sent them or appointed them or spoken to them. THEY ARE PROPHESYING TO YOU FALSE VISIONS, DIVINATIONS, IDOLATRIES AND THE DELUSIONS OF THEIR OWN MINDS.'" - Jeremiah 14:14
Manasseh...
"He sacrificed his children in the fire in the Valley of Ben Hinnom, PRACTICED DIVINATION AND WITCHCRAFT, SOUGHT OMENS, AND CONSULTED MEDIUMS AND SPIRITISTS. HE DID MUCH EVIL in the eyes of the Lord, arousing his anger." -2 Chronicles 33:6 (NIV)
Lying Divinations... The Lord declares...
"THEIR VISIONS ARE FALSE AND THEIR DIVINATIONS A LIE. THEY SAY, 'THE LORD DECLARES,' WHEN THE LORD HAS NOT SENT THEM; YET THEY EXPECT THEIR WORDS TO BE FULFILLED.

In whom, or in what, do we trust?
