Of the greatest importance among Goddesses of Ancient Egypt, she is the wife of Osiris and the mother of Horus the Younger. Isis held the title "weret-hekau," or "great of magic," and was highly evolved in Egyptian priestly magic. She is the source behind the Goddess of modern Paganism. Within the Order of the Golden Dawn she is assigned Praemonstrator of the Three Chiefs.
