Surrounding the Tabernacle…

“ON THE EAST, toward the sunrise, the divisions of the camp of Judah are to encamp…” (Num 2:3) “ON THE SOUTH will be the divisions of the camp of Reuben…” (Num 2:10) “ON THE WEST will be the divisions of the camp of Ephraim…” (Num 2:18) “ON THE NORTH will be the divisions of the camp of Dan…” (Num 2:25)

“…The tribal divisions will camp beneath their family banners on all four sides of the Tabernacle…” (Num 2:2, NLT)

JUDAH EAST -> LION FLAG

REUBEN SOUTH -> MAN FLAG

EPHRAIM WEST -> OX FLAG

DAN NORTH -> EAGLE FLAG

This is a “son of man” – depicted in the Prince of Tyrus – like ALL of us – our hearts are lifted up as God through our beloved freewill.

“Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because THINE HEART IS LIFTED UP, AND THOU HAST SAID, I AM A GOD, I SIT IN THE SEAT OF GOD, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God…” (Ezekiel 28:2)

Sound familiar? This is NOT the (1) antichrist as there are many described in Scripture. It is MAN himself.

“Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that HE AS GOD SITTETH IN THE TEMPLE OF GOD, shewing himself that he is God.” (2 Thessalonians 2:4)

Where is the Temple of God?

"Know ye not that YE ARE THE TEMPLE OF GOD, and that THE SPIRIT OF GOD DWELLS IN YOU?" (I Cor. 3:16)

"If any man defile the TEMPLE OF GOD, him shall God destroy; for the THE TEMPLE OF GOD is holy, which temple YE ARE." (I Cor. 3:17)

Returning to Ezekiel…

“Wilt thou yet say before him that slayeth thee, I am God? but THOU SHALT BE A MAN, and no God, in the hand of him that slayeth thee.” (Ezekiel 28:9)

Who shall be a MAN? The Anointed Cherub. Scripture says TO A MAN:

“THOU ART THE ANOINTED CHERUB THAT COVERETH; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.” (Ezekiel 28:14)

Scripture comes straight out and tells us who the Anointed Cherub is… “Thou art!!” Look at the descriptions! Faces, hands, figures of MAN! The faces are of man and the BEAST of man! It is the BEAST of Revelation, MAN! Mankind is compared to BEASTS in Scripture because we are beasts…

"I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that THEY THEMSELVES ARE BEASTS." (Ecclesiastes 3:18)

Should it surprise us that the faces of the Cherubim are beasts?

“but each of them had FOUR FACES and four wings.” (Ezekiel 1:6)

“Each had FOUR FACES and four wings, and under their wings was what LOOKED LIKE HUMAN HANDS.” (Ezekiel 10:21)

“Their faces looked like this: Each of the four had the face of a human being, and on the right side each had the face of a lion, and on the left the face of an ox; each also had the face of an eagle.” (Ezekiel 1:10)

“Each of the cherubim had four faces: One face was that of a cherub, the second the face of a human being, the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.” (Ezekiel 10:14)

“Their faces had the same appearance as those I had seen by the Kebar River. Each one went straight ahead.” (Ezekiel 10:22)

“The first living creature was like a lion, the second was like an ox, the third had a face like a man, the fourth was like a flying eagle.” (Rev 4:7)

“And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: BEHOLD, THE LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.” (Rev 5:5)

Here we have 2 faces, the face of Adam and the face of the Lion of the Tribe of Judah…

“…EVERY CHERUB HAD TWO FACES; So that THE FACE OF A MAN was toward the palm tree on the one side, and THE FACE OF A YOUNG LION toward the palm tree on the other side: it was made through all the house round about.” (Ezekiel 41:18-19)

Let us not forget the BEASTS of Daniel… The Lion [Nebuchadnezzar], the Bear [Medo-Persia… MEN!], the Leopard with the horn [Alexander the Great – a MAN!] – the goat, the ram, etc.

“Wilt thou yet say before him that slayeth thee, I am God? but THOU SHALT BE A MAN, and no God, in the hand of him that slayeth thee.” (Ezekiel 28:9)

“The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings: I beheld till THE WINGS THEREOF WERE PLUCKED, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and A MAN'S HEART WAS GIVEN TO IT.” (Daniel 7:4)

In appearance…

“…the heavens were opened and I saw visions of God.” (Ezekiel 1:1)

“and in the fire was what looked like four living creatures. IN APPEARANCE THEIR FORM WAS HUMAN…” (Ezekiel 1:5)

Yes, God creates EVIL. In the beginning, however, the WAYS of man was perfect…

“Thou wast PERFECT IN THY WAYS from the day that thou wast created, TILL INIQUITY WAS FOUND in thee.” (Ezekiel 28:15)

The “multitude of thy merchandise” – Mystery Babylon ring any bells?

“BY THE MULTITUDE OF THY MERCHANDISE they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I WILL DESTROY THEE, O COVERING CHERUB, FROM THE MIDST OF THE STONES OF FIRE.” (Ezekiel 28:16)

“Thine heart was lifted up?” – Sound like anyone we might know?

“THINE HEART WAS LIFTED UP BECAUSE OF THY BEAUTY, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.” (Ezekiel 28:17)

We are cast to ground! We defile the Sanctuary of God! We are the Sanctuary of God! What is God going to do about all this? He is going to bring a FIRE! Our God IS a Consuming Fire! He will refine us! He will reconcile ALL of us!

“THOU HAST DEFILED THY SANCTUARIES BY THE MULTITUDE OF THINE INIQUITIES, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I BRING FORTH A FIRE from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.” (Ezekiel 28:18)

Here we are again, in the garden…

“THOU HAST BEEN IN EDEN THE GARDEN OF GOD; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.” (Ezekiel 28:13)

When Cherubim are placed above the Throne of God, they are termed Seraphim [with 6 wings]. We are musicians and we sing praises to God Almighty…

“…I saw also the LORD sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up…” (Isaiah 6:1)

“Above it stood the seraphims…” (Isaiah 6:2)

“And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.” (Isaiah 6:3)

“…and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, LORD God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.” (Re 4:8)

Until then…

“yea, he casteth out the man, AND CAUSETH TO DWELL AT THE EAST OF THE GARDEN OF EDEN THE CHERUBS and the flame of the sword which is turning itself round to guard the way of the tree of life.” (Gen 3:24, YLT)

He drove the MAN out. He placed the MAN (CHERUBIM) on the east side of the garden. The flaming Sword blocks the way back. We must go through the Sword [Sword of the Spirit – the Word of God- the FIRE] to enter again. We can only enter through the east gate! We can ONLY enter through JESUS CHRIST. The east side of the Temple is where Christ is crucified. It is the entrance to the Tabernacle and the Holy of Holies. We are placed there until Jesus Christ makes a way for us to enter once again.

THE WINGS

Cherubim are depicted as having 2 wings to fly and the other wings to cover the BEAST.

“but each of them had four faces and FOUR WINGS.” (Ezekiel 1:6) “Each had four faces and FOUR WINGS, and under their wings was what looked like human hands.” (Ezekiel 10:21)

“Such were their faces. THEY EACH HAD TWO WINGS spreading out upward, each wing touching that of the creature on either side; and each had two other wings COVERING ITS BODY.” (Ezekiel 1:11)

As the Cherubim are referenced above the Throne - Seraphim - they now have 2 additional wings, making a total of 8 covering all of us… The bodies, the faces, the feet…

“Above him were seraphim, each with SIX WINGS: With two wings THEY COVERED THEIR FACES, with two THEY COVERED THEIR FEET, and with two they were flying.” (Isaiah 6:2)

“Each of the four living creatures had SIX WINGS and was covered with eyes all around, even under its wings…” (Rev 4:8)

What exactly are the wings? They are the rushing waters!

“When the creatures moved, I HEARD THE SOUND OF THEIR WINGS, LIKE THE ROAR OF RUSHING WATERS, like the voice of the Almighty, like the tumult of an army. When they stood still, they lowered their wings.” (Ezekiel 1:24)

Christ is the Living Water! We are carried about by the Spirit of God!

“Each one went straight ahead. WHEREVER THE SPIRIT WOULD GO, THEY WOULD GO, without turning as they went.” (Ezekiel 1:12)

THE EYES

We are moved about and set down wherever God desires! Freewill is an evil illusion. It has ALWAYS been ALL God!

“Their rims were high and awesome, and ALL FOUR RIMS WERE FULL OF EYES ALL AROUND.” (Ezekiel 1:18)

“Their entire bodies, including their backs, their hands and their wings, were COMPLETELY FULL OF EYES, as were their four wheels.” (Ezekiel 10:12)

“Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was COVERED WITH EYES ALL AROUND, even under its wings…” (Rev 4:8)

We are ALL moved WHEREVER GOD CHOOSES, WHENEVER GOD CHOOSES!

“When the living creatures moved, the wheels beside them moved; and when the living creatures rose from the ground, the wheels also rose.” (Ezekiel 1:19)

“WHEREVER THE SPIRIT WOULD GO, THEY WOULD GO, and the wheels would rise along with them, because THE SPIRIT OF THE LIVING CREATURES WAS IN THE WHEELS.” (Ezekiel 1:20)

The Spirit of God is in our wheels! We WILL go when and where He determines!

“When the creatures moved, they also moved; when the creatures stood still, they also stood still; and when the creatures rose from the ground, the wheels rose along with them, because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.” (Ezekiel 1:21)

We are all connected…

“and THE WINGS OF ONE TOUCHED THE WINGS OF ANOTHER. Each one went straight ahead; they did not turn as they moved.” (Ezekiel 1:9)

“Each one went straight ahead. WHEREVER THE SPIRIT WOULD GO, THEY WOULD GO, without turning as they went.” (Ezekiel 1:12)

We are refined and made perfect through the FIRE OF GOD.

“The appearance of the living creatures was LIKE BURNING COALS OF FIRE OR LIKE TORCHES. Fire moved back and forth among the creatures; it was bright, and lightning flashed out of it.” (Ezekiel 1:13)

“The creatures sped back and forth like flashes of lightning.” (Ezekiel 1:14)

“As I looked at the living creatures, I SAW A WHEEL ON THE GROUND BESIDE EACH CREATURE with its four faces.” (Ezekiel 1:15)

“This was the appearance and structure of the wheels: They sparkled like topaz, and ALL FOUR LOOKED ALIKE. Each appeared to be made LIKE A WHEEL INTERSECTING A WHEEL.” (Ezekiel 1:16)

“As they moved, they would go in any one of the four directions the creatures faced; the wheels did not change direction as the creatures went.” (Ezekiel 1:17)

“Above the vault over their heads was what looked like a throne of lapis lazuli, and high above ON THE THRONE WAS A FIGURE LIKE THAT OF A MAN.” (Ezekiel 1:26)

The figure on the Throne is JESUS CHRIST! He is our one and only entrance through the east gate. He IS the East Gate…

“I saw that from what appeared to be his waist up he looked like glowing metal, as if full of fire, and that from there down he looked like fire; and BRILLIANT LIGHT SURROUNDED HIM.” (Ezekiel 1:27)

“LIKE THE APPEARANCE OF A RAINBOW in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the radiance around him. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. When I saw it, I fell facedown, and I heard the voice of one speaking.” (Ezekiel 1:28)

He is the Rainbow! He is the Veil! He is the Body! He is our Savior!!

“At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was A THRONE IN HEAVEN WITH SOMEONE SITTING ON IT. And the one who sat there had the appearance of jasper and ruby. A RAINBOW THAT SHONE LIKE AN EMERALD ENCIRCLED THE THRONE.” (Rev 4:2-3)

“He mounted the cherubim and flew; he soared on the wings of the wind.” (2 Samuel 22:11)

“He mounted the cherubim and flew; he soared on the wings of the wind.” (Psalm 18:10)

THE CHERUBIM IN THE VEIL… We, the Body of Christ, are represented in the Veil! The Veil IS the Body. The Body is Christ. We are the Body of Christ. The Body is made up of Cherubim! It is full of Cherubim! Man will fly again on the wings of the Spirit!

“While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, ‘Take and eat; THIS IS MY BODY.’” (Matthew 26:26)

“Is not the cup of blessing which we bless a sharing in the blood of Christ? Is not the bread which we break a sharing in the body of Christ? Since THERE IS ONE BREAD, we who are many are ONE BODY; for we all partake of the one bread.” (1 Cor 10:16-17)

“By A NEW AND LIVING WAY, which he hath consecrated for us, THROUGH THE VEIL, that is to say, HIS FLESH…” (Heb 10:20)

And what, my friends, is throughout the Veil?!! The Cherubim!!

“Make a curtain of blue, purple and scarlet yarn and finely twisted linen, WITH CHERUBIM WOVEN INTO IT by a skilled worker.” (Exodus 26:31)

“They made the curtain of blue, purple and scarlet yarn and finely twisted linen, WITH CHERUBIM WOVEN INTO IT by a skilled worker.” (Exodus 36:35)

In fact, the Tabernacle – the Temple is FILLED WITH CHERUBIM!! We are the Temple of God!

Embroidered on the Tabernacle curtains:

“Make the tabernacle with ten curtains of finely twisted linen and blue, purple and scarlet yarn, WITH CHERUBIM WOVEN INTO THEM by a skilled worker.” (Exodus 26:1)

The inner and outer walls of Solomon’s Temple:

“On the walls all around the temple, in both the inner and outer rooms, HE CARVED CHERUBIM, palm trees and open flowers.” (1 Kings 6:29)

Doors of the Inner and Outer Sanctuary:

“The two doors also were of olive tree; and he carved upon them CARVINGS OF CHERUBIMS and palm trees and open flowers, and overlaid them with gold, and spread gold upon the cherubims, and upon the palm trees.” (1 Kings 6:32)

“And the two doors were of fir tree: the two leaves of the one door were folding, and the two leaves of the other door were folding. AND HE CARVED THEREON CHERUBIMS and palm trees and open flowers: and covered them with gold fitted upon the carved work.” (1 Kings 6:34-35)

And the panels:

“And on the borders that were between the ledges were lions, oxen, and CHERUBIMS: and upon the ledges there was a base above: and beneath the lions and oxen were certain additions made of thin work.” (1 Kings 7:29)

“HE ENGRAVED CHERUBIM, lions and palm trees on the surfaces of the supports and on the panels, in every available space, with wreaths all around.” (1 Kings 7:36)

On the walls and doors of Ezekiel’s Temple:

“To that above the door, even unto the inner house, and without, and by all the wall round about within and without, by measure. And IT WAS MADE WITH CHERUBIMS AND PALM TREES, so that A PALM TREE WAS BETWEEN A CHERUB AND A CHERUB; and every cherub had two faces…” (Ezekiel 41:17-18)

“Each door had two leaves—two hinged leaves for each door. And on the doors of the main hall were carved CHERUBIM AND PALM TREES LIKE THOSE CARVED ON THE WALLS, and there was a wooden overhang on the front of the portico.” (Ezekiel 41:24-25)

The Palm Tree is the Tree of Life, out of which flows Living Water! – the Wings! He is the Vine! We are ALL connected!

CHERUBIM ARE THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE TEMPLE!

“…the face of a human being toward the palm tree on one side and the face of a lion toward the palm tree on the other. THEY WERE CARVED ALL AROUND THE WHOLE TEMPLE. From the floor to the area above the entrance, cherubim and palm trees were carved on the wall of the main hall.” (Ezekiel 41:17-20)

“They serve at a sanctuary that is A COPY AND SHADOW of what is in heaven. This is why Moses was warned when he was about to build the tabernacle: ‘See to it that you MAKE EVERYTHING ACCORDING TO THE PATTERN shown you on the mountain.’” (Hebrews 8:5)

“God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, DWELLETH NOT IN TEMPLES MADE WITH HANDS…” (Acts 17:4)

We are the Figures of the True!!

“For CHRIST IS NOT entered into the holy places MADE WITH HANDS, which ARE THE FIGURES OF THE TRUE; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us…” (Heb 9:24)

We are the Stones of the Temple!!

"you also, AS LIVING STONES, are BEING BUILT UP AS A SPIRITUAL HOUSE for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ." (1 Peter 2:5)

Christ is the Head Stone!!

“The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone…” (Psalm 118:22)

We are ALL connected! We are the Temple of God! We are the Cherubim!!

"Know ye not that YE ARE THE TEMPLE OF GOD, and that THE SPIRIT OF GOD DWELLS IN YOU?" (I Cor. 3:16)

This is sum of ALL of US: ALL 12 [spiritual] Tribes of Israel – we are as ONE, ONE BREAD, ONE BODY – referenced as a part [i.e. the elect] will still be referenced as a WHOLE – 7 Candlesticks [Christ in the center – ALL united] – 7 Churches – 7 Spirits of God [the Spirit of God He gives to CHRIST who gives to US] – 7 Candlesticks [through which the Spirit flows] – The Cherubim – ONE, ONE BREAD, ONE BODY –ALL the Cherubim - ONE, ONE BREAD, ONE BODY – the Living Creatures led by the Spirit of God the FATHER!

“…They follow the Lamb wherever he goes. They were purchased from among mankind and OFFERED AS FIRSTFRUITS TO GOD AND THE LAMB. No lie was found in their mouths; THEY ARE BLAMELESS.” (Rev 14:4-5)

In the center of the sea of glass are the Living Creatures, the Cherubim…

“Also in front of the throne there was what looked like A SEA OF GLASS, clear as crystal. In the center, AROUND THE THRONE, WERE FOUR LIVING CREATURES, and they were covered with eyes, in front and in back.” (Rev 4:6, NIV)

Here it is again… AFTER the wrath of God is complete…

“I saw in heaven another great and marvelous sign: seven angels with the seven last plagues—last, because with them GOD’S WRATH IS COMPLETED.” (Rev 15:1)

“And I perceived as it were A GLASSY SEA, MIXED WITH FIRE, and those who come off CONQUERORS FROM THE WILD BEAST, AND FROM ITS IMAGE, and from the number of its name, STANDING ON THE GLASSY SEA, having the lyres of the Lord God.” (Rev 15:2, CLT)

We [ALL of us] are victorious over the beast and its image!

We will enter through the East Door from where we came…

“Afterward he brought me to the gate, even THE GATE THAT LOOKETH TOWARD THE EAST: And, behold, THE GLORY OF THE GOD OF ISRAEL CAME FROM THE WAY OF THE EAST: and his voice was like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory.” (Ezekiel 43:1-2)

Christ IS the Gate! New Jerusalem IS the [spiritual] Garden of Eden! We parted through the East Gate and we will be reconciled through the East Gate! It is the Tabernacle! It is the Temple! We are the Temple!

“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away…” (Rev 21:1)

“Then said he unto me, These WATERS ISSUE OUT TOWARD THE EAST country, and go DOWN INTO THE DESERT, and go INTO THE SEA: which being brought forth into the sea, THE WATERS SHALL BE HEALED.” (Ezekiel 47:8)
